th, Prof. Rob together with the delegation from CSI was invited to deliver a lecture on “Application of CSIbridge in Bridge Design and Seismic Analysis”. CSI software is a pioneering structural seismic engineering software recognized worldwide. SAP2000, CSiBridge, ETABS, SAFE, Perform3D are widely used in tens of thousands of projects in over 160 countries and famous for their strong and stable computational analysis techniques.
In order to meet the requirement of application and innovation in finite element technology and improve the technical level of designers in BRDI, the lecture focused on four aspects: concepts and advantages of CSI bridge software, analysis and design functions of CSiBridge, modeling for complex bridges by CSiBridge and application of bridge engineering seismic analysis.
During the lecture, relevant staff thoroughly discussed with bridge experts about certain difficulties in the design and use of the software, including damping ratio value, dynamic loading of moving loads, modeling of curved cross-section beams and multi-point excitation.
